We will be resuming in-person church services on July 5. We will also continue streaming the service via Zoom, so if you are considered high-risk, if you have small children, or if your circumstances would in some way make it unwise for you to return at this time, please continue to join us virtually.
First-time Zoom guests may contact the church office in advance for service login info, or request it by text at 804.502.1287 on Sunday mornings.
If you plan to attend in person, please read over the following guidelines now so that you know what to expect:
What do I need to do before church?
Sign up for church by Saturday at noon using this EventBrite link: https://www.eventbrite.com/e/in-person-sunday-service-tickets-111292252122
Screen yourself:
Ask yourself the COVID screening questions listed at the bottom of this email. If your answer to any of them is yes, plan to stay home.
What will be different at church?
Everyone over the age of 2 needs to wear a mask at all times.
The Entrance:
Unless you need to use the elevator, you will need to enter through the main sanctuary doors.
The Greeters: They will ask you about the screening question and take your temperature.
Getting to your seat: You will wait at the back of the sanctuary (6 feet apart) for an usher to seat you. Seats will be staggered, and you will sit with only your household.
Getting to the bathroom (or elsewhere in the building): One-way traffic through the building. You’ll leave via the door by the stage. To return to the sanctuary, exit the building through the side doors under the archway and come back around to the main door.
No Sunday School/Nursery: Children will remain with their parents at all times.
What about at the end of service?
Dismissal: The ushers will dismiss you by pew to prevent a bottleneck.
Fellowship Time: No coffee/snacks downstairs. After service we will head outside, where you are free to fellowship from 6 feet away.
What are the Screening Questions?
  1. Have you or anyone in your household had any of the following symptoms in the last 21 days: sore throat, cough, chills, body aches for unknown reasons, shortness of breath for unknown reasons, loss of smell, loss of taste, fever at or greater than 100 degrees Fahrenheit?
  2. Have you or anyone in your household cared for an individual who is in quarantine or is a presumptive positive or has tested positive for COVID-19?
  3. Do you have any reason to believe you or anyone in your household has been exposed to or acquired COVID-19?
  4. To the best of your knowledge have you been in close proximity to any individual who tested positive for COVID-19?
